Young people designed the solutions of the financial future at FinHack, organized in cooperation with Allianz Türkiye, Habitat Association and UNDP Türkiye.

Young people designed the solutions of the financial future at FinHack, organized in cooperation with Allianz Türkiye, Habitat Association and UNDP Türkiye.

FinHack: Financial Access Hackathon, which was implemented within the scope of the "Future with Finance" project carried out in partnership with Allianz Turkey, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Turkey and Habitat Association, was held at Istanbul Modern between 27-28 June. The winning teams in the event, which brought together high school students in Istanbul to develop innovative solutions on the themes of financial access and financial future, were rewarded with technology gift certificates.

FinHack: Financial Access Hackathon, organized within the scope of the Future with Finance project carried out in partnership with Allianz Turkey, Habitat Association and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Turkey, in order to spread financial literacy awareness throughout the society, was held on 27-28 June at Istanbul Modern with the intense participation of young people. At the event, which brought together high school students aged 14-19 living in Istanbul, participants developed innovative solution ideas in the fields of financial access and financial future.

Students from 46 different high schools in Istanbul applied to the program in teams of 2 and 3 people. 10 teams and 25 students selected from a total of 50 applications qualified to participate in the final program. The 10 teams invited as finalists had the opportunity to develop their projects with the support of expert mentors, as well as training on entrepreneurship, design-oriented thinking, business model development and presentation techniques for two days. The works of the students who presented their projects to the jury members on the final day; They were evaluated in line with the criteria of innovation, feasibility, sustainability, social impact and contribution to financial access.

After the jury evaluation, the winning teams were determined as follows:

BEF won the First Prize, which collects the tracking and management of all subscription payments in a single application, SAGAN - Antifreeze, which aims to minimize the financial risks faced by farmers by combining data analysis and IoT payments, won the second prize, and finally Parova, which designed an artificial intelligence-supported financial simulation and investment management tool for young people, won the third prize.

First target: Reaching 10 thousand young people

Allianz Turkey, Habitat Association and UNDP Turkey, which has reached more than 5 thousand young people so far within the scope of the Future with Finance project, continues to support the empowerment of young people in the fields of financial literacy, entrepreneurship and future skills. With the Future with Finance project, financial literacy training has been provided to 7,328 young people in 68 different provinces through face-to-face and online channels. All digital content of the project, which aims to reach 10 thousand young people in the first stage, is accessible to young people free of charge via the Allianz YouTube channel and the Habitat Association website.
