TSB Brings the Insurers of the Future Together at Düzce University

Turkish Insurance Association met with sector representatives and young people at the event held at Düzce University within the scope of university meetings. The future of insurance, career opportunities and digital transformation were discussed in the panel.

Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) met with students at Düzce University at the second stop of the "TSB in Universities: Trust the Future with Young People" program, which aims to bring young people together with the insurance sector and inspire the talents of the future. The event, held on April 2, 2026, was met with great interest from university students. Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir: “It is our most important responsibility to bring our young people together with the sector.” Düzce University Rector Prof. made the opening speech of the program. Dr. Nedim Sözbir stated that universities are not only institutions that produce academic knowledge, but also important centers that prepare students for the business world. Sözbir said, "We are happy to bring our students together with the valuable representatives of the sector here today.

University-finance sector collaborations enable our young people to take the right steps in their career journey. Such programs both broaden the vision of our students and prepare them better equipped for the future." Drawing attention to its structure, he emphasized that young people will play a critical role in this transformation. Neciboğlu said, "The insurance sector is now much more than just a structure that offers risk coverage. It is becoming a data-oriented and innovative field that is rapidly transforming with technology. At the center of this transformation are you, the young people. Your energy, perspective and creativity will shape the future of the sector." Stating that young people's interest in the sector is increasing day by day, Neciboğlu pointed out the wide range of career opportunities offered by insurance and said that graduates from different disciplines can find a place for themselves in the sector.

TSB Secretary General Özgür Obalı touched on the career diversity and development opportunities offered by the insurance sector in his speech. Obalı said, "Insurance is a dynamic sector that includes many fields such as finance, technology, data analytics and customer experience. Many new professions that stand out in the world today are actually on the agenda of the insurance sector. Therefore, insurance promises young people not only a job, but also a career journey that offers continuous development and learning opportunities." Referring to the importance of communicating directly with young people, Obalı stated that their aim with this program is to answer young people's questions one-on-one, understand their expectations and contribute to their stronger preparation for the sector.

Many topics were discussed in the panel, from the operation of insurance to the professions of the future, from career paths to digital transformation in the sector. Students; It created an interactive discussion environment by asking questions about technical areas of expertise, career planning and new trends in the sector. Participants pointed out that areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence applications and digital insurance will be decisive in the sector in the coming period.

Intense interest on campus, one-on-one career counseling at the stands. Within the scope of the event, which attracted great attention on Düzce University campus, the stands established by Allianz Turkey, Neova Sigorta, Quick Sigorta and Milli Reasürans also met with students. Students had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with industry representatives at the stands and get to know insurance more closely and get direct information about their career planning.

The program, which started at Konya Karatay University in November 2025, aims to establish a strong bond between the sector and young people by meeting with young people at different universities every month. While university meetings will enable young people to get to know the insurance industry more closely, they will continue to build a strong bridge between the industry and young talents.
