AXA Türkiye Takes Action for the Seas with Bengisu Avcı…
AXA Week for Good, organized annually by AXA Group in all countries where it operates around the world, started with the participation of AXA Turkey employees and its values partner, National Ultra Marathon Swimmer and Coach Bengisu Avcı. The Company, which once again demonstrates its determination to take action for good by carrying the "Empathy Assurance" approach to the field, implements projects focused on the environment and social solidarity.

AXA Turkey is becoming a part of a global kindness movement by implementing the AXA Kindness Week, which is carried out simultaneously in all countries where the AXA Group operates around the world, with a comprehensive program this year, in order to encourage employee volunteerism and increase social benefit.
The first event of the week was the coastal and sea cleaning held at Yeniköy Beach, Karaburun, on World Oceans Day. AXA members came together at the event organized with the participation of AXA Türkiye's values partner, national ultra marathon swimmer and coach Bengisu Avcı, and contributed to the protection of natural life by drawing attention to marine pollution. This event, which aims to raise awareness about climate change and environmental risks, was the first event organized within the scope of AXA Kindness Week. The fact that Bengisu Avcı, the first and only Turkish swimmer to complete Ocean's 7, swam across 7 oceans to draw attention to climate change increased the meaning of the event.
During the week, AXA members will take an active role in the field and carry out extensive volunteer work in order to strengthen social ties. In this context, report card gifts carefully prepared for Hatay Büyükdalyan All Hearts Primary School students will be delivered to the children along with good wishes notes. Simultaneously, in cooperation with Çorbada Tuzun Olsun Association, hygiene and support kits prepared to support meeting basic needs will be delivered to those in need. Football and basketball matches will be organized in cooperation with the Red Children Association and with the participation of AXA volunteers; The concert to be performed by AXA Band, consisting of AXA employees, will offer young people an enjoyable musical experience.
Within the scope of social solidarity projects, cookie workshops will be organized for mentally disabled children in cooperation with GEA Search and Rescue, nursing home visits will be made and wheelchairs will be assembled to be delivered to those in need. While awareness about sustainable living is being created through urban gardening workshops, empathy, change creation and new leadership skills will be discussed in the "Change for All Workshop" to be held in cooperation with Ashoka Turkey.
In the environmental dimension of AXA Kindness Week, AXA members will transform their steps and pedals into goodness. With the target of 20 million steps and 500 kilometers of pedal distance throughout the week, employees will both focus on healthy living and in return for this performance, hundreds of new saplings will be planted in the soil.
AXA Turkey aims to strengthen employee volunteerism, support social solidarity and create shared value for a sustainable future with all these activities carried out within the scope of AXA Kindness Week.
