Artificial intelligence drains the battery charge quickly

Artificial intelligence and advanced image processing applications increase power consumption by 30% to 50% in some usage scenarios. According to Mcdodo, the new field of competition in the mobile world will now be charging and power technologies. Power management will become the most important issue in smart devices

While the use of artificial intelligence in smartphones and accessories is rapidly increasing, this transformation also brings the energy consumption of mobile devices to the agenda again. In new generation smart devices, many features such as photo editing, video enhancement, real-time translation and content production are now carried out by artificial intelligence models working directly within the device.  According to research, generative artificial intelligence applications, especially those that can produce original content such as text, photos and videos, can increase the processing load up to 3 times compared to standard usage scenarios. This means an increase of 30% to 50% in battery consumption. In video processing and artificial intelligence-supported camera use, it is seen that a significant portion of the total daily energy consumption of the device in short-term intensive use can be caused by these processes alone. For this reason, users' charging frequency is also increasing.

Artificial intelligence also works to save money

Technology manufacturers respond to this need by using neural processing unit (NPU). However, increasing usage intensity makes battery capacity and charging technologies one of the most critical topics of the mobile ecosystem. In the coming period, competition in the smartphone market will focus not only on camera, screen or processor performance, but also on fast charging, multi-device charging and power management technologies.

Fast charging over 100W with GaN technology

Global mobile accessory brandMcdodo offers fast and safe charging solutions for the rising energy needs with the increasing use of artificial intelligence. Mcdodo's adapters with GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology offer higher power output in a more compact size compared to traditional adapters, allowing devices to be charged in a much shorter time. Models that support 100W or more can charge tablets and laptops as well as smartphones at the same time. The brand's smart cable solutions offer a more stable and efficient charging experience by minimizing losses in energy transmission. Cables with LED indicators and multi-connection support allow users to manage different devices within a single ecosystem.

'The era of productivity is beginning'

Evaluating the transformation in the sector, Mcdodo Turkey General Manager Mehmet Uçurum says: "Artificial intelligence features completely change the use of smartphones. But this transformation also brings with it a higher energy need. As Mcdodo with GaN technology "With our fast charging solutions, we enable users to adapt to this new era without interruption. This is no longer just an accessory issue, but a fundamental part of the user experience. In the coming period, product portfolios shaped around high-efficiency adapters, universal connection solutions and wireless charging standards will continue to be the most critical competitive area for brands."
