THE PAIN OF AN UNFINISHED LOVE, A FUTURE CUT TO SHATTERS WITH A SINGLE NEWS: ALMOST

Now I could go wherever I wanted. I could consume everything. I was free, but I didn't know that freedom was a space and that it required the power to fill this space. Without this power, freedom turned into a void that moved within itself.

THE PAIN OF AN UNFINISHED LOVE, A FUTURE CUT TO SHATTERS WITH A SINGLE NEWS: ALMOST

"Now I could go wherever I wanted. I could consume everything. I was free, but I didn't know that freedom was a space and that I wanted the power to fill this space. Without this power, freedom turned into a void that moves within itself.

As Onur searches for his own "way" among the gray walls of the military school, where he had to follow the route he drew in the shadow of his father, where discipline was born not out of fear but out of necessity, life confronts him with an unexpected farewell. On one side, the pain of an unfinished love, on the other. A future shattered by a single piece of news... This story, which extends from the sunny streets of Izmir to the cold bunk beds of Ankara, and then to the narrow streets of Istanbul, where surprises lurk around every corner, is not just a young man's effort to build himself, but also a son, a lover, and a vagabond. As Onur, with the invisible bag of the past on his back and an envelope full of question marks in his pocket, is thrown from the dusty rooms of his house in Izmir to the old apartments of Istanbul, it tells the reader that he just wants to continue living. It makes you question whether it will be enough or not.

The first novel of Erdost Akbaba, who has been working in the field of publishing for years, "Almost" always took its place on the shelves with the book logo.

About the Author:

Erdost Akbaba was born in Denizli on March 5, 1990. He lived in Kuşadası until high school, then studied at Pamukkale University and Kocaeli University. His stories have been published in Guney, Kafa, Berfin Bahar, Ay Işığı, Kitapçı magazines and in various fanzines. He has been living in Istanbul with his dreams for about fifteen years.

About the book:
We have always loved the smell of books. We read, selected and published them together, sometimes separately, in Turkey's leading publishing houses for years. What have we come to do? To bring a brand new publishing house to Turkey, to do things that have never been done before, to always look at what has been done from a different perspective. To deliver what we read with love to our readers, who we believe will increase day by day. Our goal is to always hear the voices that need to be heard from various geographies of the world. With a meticulous, meticulous and immaculate approach to work. Always maintaining the same care until the promotion, always putting the book first. Fiction or non-fiction... Literature, art or food... Always life... We want to publish the best books in all of these fields. That's why we established a team that always thinks about books. This is a team that always stays young as we read... That's why we named it 'book'.
