Winners Announced for the 20th Anniversary of 'Shots from Life through Women's Eyes'

İlham Kazdal was deemed worthy of first place with her photograph titled "Puzzle", Ayşe Eslem Aydın came second with her photograph titled "Colorful Smile" and Gülsün İnan came third with her photograph titled "Momentum". The organization, which is the only competition specifically for women photographers in Turkey, continues to create space for women to express their own perspectives through the art of photography.

The 2026 results of Turkey's only women-only photography competition "Shots from Life through Women's Eyes", organized by Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, have been announced. In the 20th year of "Shots from Life Through Women's Eyes", İlham Kazdal was deemed worthy of first place with her photograph titled "Puzzle", Ayşe Eslem Aydın came second with her work titled "Colorful Smile", and Gülsün İnan came third with her photograph titled "Momentum". Afet Şener was entitled to receive an Honorable Mention award with her photographs "Dancing with Fire", Belma Arslan "Absence" and Berrin Kahraman "Torakçılar". In the special categories of the competition, the Environmental Sustainability Award was given to Canan Yıldırım Sayak with her work titled "First Meeting"; The 20th Anniversary Special Award went to Pınar Ergül Bayram with her "Digital Age" photograph.

This year, a record number of applications were made to the competition, which was held with the theme "About Life", while 2,262 female photographers participated with a total of 7,615 works. In the competition, which was conducted under the consultancy of the Turkish Federation of Photographic Art (TFSF) and in which more than 32 thousand women participated with more than 118 thousand photographs in 20 years, 46 works were entitled to receive awards and exhibitions at the end of the evaluation process.

In the selection committee of the competition, Emeritus Prof. Güler Ertan, TFSF Board Member and photographer Burak Şenbak, photographer İzzet Keribar, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography Faculty Member Prof. Nihal Kafalı and Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik Corporate Communications Manager Tuğba Öcal took part.

The first prize in the competition was determined as 60,000 TL, the second prize was 50,000 TL, and the third prize was 40,000 TL; Honorable Mention, 20th Anniversary Special Award and Environmental Sustainability Award winners were awarded 20,000 TL. A prize of 10,000 TL was given for each of the 38 works that were deemed worthy of exhibition.
