With its new program inspired by the exhibition On the Shore of Water: The Life and Art of Halil Pasha, Pera Learning brings together school groups and individuals with special needs with exhibition tours and creative workshops built around the themes of light, water and nature.

The program, which will be held by reservation until June 26, invites students to discover the history of art and participate in the production processes with its special content.

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum Learning Programs continues to welcome its visitors. rel="noopener noreferrer">Inspired by the exhibition titled "By the Water: Life and Art of Halil Pasha "By the Water: Halil It invites school groups and individuals with special needs to creative production processes with its new program titled "Pasha's Life and Art": Reservation Workshops for Schools and Institutions. Booked workshops and face-to-face and online exhibition tours, which will last until June 26, offer an inclusive and multi-layered learning experience that focuses on Halil Pasha's unique relationship with light, water and nature.

The program, nourished by the historical and aesthetic context of the exhibition, encourages students to explore the transformation of painting in the period from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic; It invites you to experience the expressive possibilities of light, color and composition. While content designed according to age groups supports the learning process, studies for individuals with special needs contribute to the development of cognitive, motor and spatial skills.

Workshops for kindergarten and primary school students

Workshops prepared for kindergarten and primary school students within the scope of the program bring together the use of figures, landscape and light in Halil Pasha's works with creative production. In the “Recreate the Painting!” workshop, students paint, print and colored paper the figure based on the artist's workPortrait of a Woman in Pink. redesigns it with its applications. In the “Light on Water” workshop, he creates coastal landscapes with watercolor works in blue tones, oil pastel drawings and salt texture applications; They experience the movement of water and the effect of the surface.

In the workshop "The Atmosphere of the Portrait", prepared for primary school students, participants learn about the portrait not only through facial expression; He creates portrait compositions by thinking together with color, background and environmental elements. In this study, based on the atmospheric effect prominent in Halil Pasha's portraits, students experience the relationship between character and space as a part of the visual expression.

Workshops for secondary school students

To be held with the participation of secondary school students“From Mirror to Paper” workshop, students carry out works that center on the relationship between observation and reflection. By transferring the facial and expression details they see in the mirror to paper through drawing and composition applications, the participants discover the relationship between proportion, careful look and personal interpretation.

Another workshop for middle school students, “From the Shore to the Deep” deals with the concepts of surface diversity and visual rhythm with composition works that divide the sea into horizontal layers.Creating layered surfaces with wave lines, spiral movements and color transitions, students strengthen the feeling of spatial depth by adding underwater creatures to their designs.

Exhibition tours and workshops for high school students

While examining the modern understanding of painting shaped through landscape, portrait and still life genres; The visual language built around the themes of light, color and water is opened to evaluation. Workshop” works carry this observation into production, creating space for students to create paintings with different techniques. In these works, participants have the opportunity to develop their personal expression styles with different materials and techniques while drawing based on the composition, light and color relationships they examine in the exhibition.

Workshops for individuals with special needs (Pera Engelsiz)

The workshops to be held within the scope of Pera Engelsiz are inspired by the Bosphorus views and flower themes featured in the exhibition. In the “Colors of the Bosphorus” workshop, participants create three-dimensional stage designs by creating colorful surfaces and layers inspired by the shores of the Bosphorus. In the “My Colorful Bouquet” workshop, personal bouquet compositions are prepared from flower forms using different materials and textures. In the “Clay Peony Garden” workshop, participants produce peony-themed three-dimensional arrangements by shaping flower forms with clay. In the “Flowers Blooming Together” workshop, individual flower works are brought together on a common surface to create a collective composition. The program both expands students' areas of expression and supports active participation in art through joint production.

"By the Water's Edge: Halil Pasha's Life and Art": Reservation Workshops for Schools and InstitutionsThe program transforms the exhibition space from being just a viewing area into a space of thinking, producing and co-discovering for students; It brings the relationship with art to a permanent learning experience.

Participation is free for public schools.Participation fee per person in private schools is 200 TL. 

For face-to-face and online guided exhibition tours for high school students, "Open Workshop for High Schools" and workshops organized within the scope of Pera Engelsiz, groups of at least 10 and at most 20 people are required.
