Within the Scope of its Global Program, MetLife Foundation Provides Grants to Non-Governmental Organizations in Turkey to Meet the Important Needs of the Society

MetLife Foundation announced the organizations that received new grants within the scope of the Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP), which provides resources to non-governmental organizations that meet the basic needs of the society. The program supports nonprofits that address critical issues and provide the services and resources individuals need to improve their financial security and resilience.

Within the Scope of its Global Program, MetLife Foundation Provides Grants to Non-Governmental Organizations in Turkey to Meet the Important Needs of the Society

This reflects MetLife and the MetLife Foundation's long-standing commitment to helping people and communities move forward with greater confidence and access opportunity.

Launched in 2023 and expanded globally in 2025, the Community Impact Grant Program supports organizations that provide solutions focused on food security, mental health, environmental sustainability and dynamic communities. In this phase, more than 100 non-governmental organizations around the world received grants totaling more than $6.5 million. These include the following organizations from Turkey: 

• Basic Needs Association (TİDER): Operating with the Food Banking Network spread across 7 regions of Turkey, the association ensures the delivery of surplus food, basic needs and clothing to families living at or below the poverty line.

• ÇEVKO Foundation (Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Utilization Foundation):  To students in 102 schools and It supports environmental awareness in rural areas by distributing recycling boxes and educational materials to teachers.

• Habitat Association: Provides safe spaces, psychosocial support and access to mental health resources to earthquake victims in Hatay with the Post-Earthquake Psychosocial Recovery and Resilience Program.

• Tohum Turkey Autism Early Diagnosis and Education Foundation: Provides psychological support and consultancy services with its ParentWell program in order to strengthen the emotional resilience of families raising children with autism.

MetLife Foundation's Community “Through the Impact Grant Program, we support nonprofits in Turkey that help individuals and families get back on their feet, strengthen their resilience, and access essential resources.”

As with previous CIGP grants, MetLife employees supported the selection process and volunteered their time to review nonprofits' grant applications. Since the program launched, more than $9 million in grants has been awarded to 207 nonprofits and reached 1.6 million people in the United States, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. The program is an important part of MetLife Foundation's broad commitment to advance inclusive economic mobility and financial health, and to strengthen the resilience and help the communities where MetLife operates.
