Alanya, with its clear sea, historical texture and rich cultural heritage, is preparing to host jogging enthusiasts.
With its special geography, which has hosted five different civilizations throughout history and carries the traces of these civilizations to the present day, Alanya Ultra Trail is not only a race, but also a nostalgic journey that offers the opportunity to discover the historical texture and natural beauties of the city.
Alanya Ultra Trail fascinates at every step. Five different tracks, one legend
Cleopatra Beach, the starting point of the race, is one of the most popular beaches in the Mediterranean with its unique sands and world-famous sea. The journey that starts from here quickly extends to the historical texture of Alanya.
Tracks passing through history
Runners have the opportunity to closely experience the architectural heritage of the 13th century by passing through the walls of Alanya Castle, one of the most important works of the Seljuk period. Historical points such as Tophane, Kızılkule, Tersane and Bedesten constitute the most impressive stages of the track.
Pathways extending to the Taurus Mountains
As the tracks ascend, the hot climate of the Mediterranean gives way to pine forests, cool plateaus and panoramic mountain views. Participants discover both the natural beauties of the Taurus Mountains and the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
Ancient roads and ancient routes
The tracks in the Taurus Mountains include historical routes such as ancient caravan routes from the Roman period and Yoruk migration routes. These ancient paths bear the traces of life and trade networks extending from past to present.
Mahmutsey Village: History and tradition
Located at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, Mahmutsey Village stands out as one of the most special points of the route with its historical texture and traditional life culture dating back to the Seljuk period.
Agriculture and Gastronomy: Special flavors of Alanya
Alanya is as much about tourism as it is about tourism. It also stands out with its fertile lands and strong production culture. In the city, which is one of Turkey's leading centers in banana production, products such as avocado, mango, dragon fruit, citrus and olives also stand out. On the race tracks, participants will be able to see the agricultural richness of Alanya closely by passing through banana groves, tropical fruit fields, citrus groves and olive groves.
Regional cuisine is another area of discovery that completes the race experience. Traditional tastes such as gülüklü soup, tahini piyaz, şebit, stuffed laba, tarator and orphan halva introduce the unique flavors of Mediterranean and Yoruk cuisine to Alanya Ultra Trail participants.
Alanya Ultra Trail 2026 offers its participants a versatile experience that brings nature, history, culture and gastronomy together. Deadline to register to be a part of this unique journey: March 15, 2026.
