The in-car digital experience is supported by an advanced voice assistant that can understand natural commands. Thanks to the new microphones positioned on the front seats, command detection sensitivity is increased, making it possible for the driver to manage vehicle functions without taking his attention off the road.
Developed with the latest hybrid technologies
Toyota RAV4 was developed with the brand's newest hybrid technologies. With the brand's new 6th generation plug-in hybrid technology and 5th generation full hybrid technology versions, RAV4 strengthens the brand's versatile mobility approach.
The new hybrid system, offered in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, makes the driving character more fluid and dynamic with its compact battery design. This model is planned to be offered to customers in Turkey with a full hybrid and four-wheel drive version.
The 2.5-liter hybrid power unit used in the model offers more responsive take-off performance and uninterrupted acceleration that feels like an electric vehicle, thanks to the increased 221 Nm torque. While the total system power reaches 194 horsepower in the four-wheel drive version, this value is 185 horsepower in the front-wheel drive version.
The full hybrid version of the new RAV4 draws attention with its fuel economy as well as increased performance. Fuel consumption is only 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers in the front-wheel drive version; It is also assertive in terms of efficiency, with a fuel consumption of 5.3 liters in the four-wheel drive version.
Among the technical improvements made in the hybrid system, the renewed transaxle structure, updated power control unit and the high-power lithium-ion battery pack, which is designed to be smaller and lighter than the previous generation, stand out. Updates to the electric motor also support the performance of the hybrid system.
Stronger handling and comfortable driving dynamics
The new RAV4 model advances both roadholding and comfort levels with comprehensive improvements in driving dynamics. Thanks to the developed platform, new electronic systems and solutions to reduce vibration, the model offers a safer and more balanced driving character in different road conditions.
The new RAV4 draws attention with its lighter and higher rigidity body produced on Toyota's TNGA-K platform. Increasing the body rigidity by approximately 9.7 percent compared to the previous generation improves cornering performance and roadholding, while the reinforcements made at the suspension connection points contribute to driving balance. In this way, the model attracts attention both at high speed and in challenging conditions. It can offer a more controlled ride in road conditions.Innovations made in the body structure and suspension system also increase driving comfort.
The new electronically controlled braking system, used for the first time, improves braking capacity and stopping distance, providing a more natural and easily controlled driving feeling. In addition, the Vehicle Braking Posture Control (VBPC) system offers higher stability when entering corners by reducing body oscillation and skidding with braking support applied to each wheel separately. The Coordinated Steering and Drive Force Control (CSDFC) technology in the New RAV4 further increases roadholding and driving safety in bends by synchronizing the front-backward and sideways movements of the vehicle.
Abilities for difficult terrain conditions also have an important place in the New RAV4. Available on four-wheel drive versions, the Hill Descent Assist System automatically controls the brakes on steep slopes, allowing the driver to focus only on steering. The advanced four-wheel drive system provides a safer ride on slippery surfaces by directing the torque to the rear axle to prevent front wheel skidding at low speeds and in bends. In addition, the electronically controlled braking system supports off-road performance by increasing the effect of the limited slip differential in four-wheel drive versions.
In case of skidding, faster and stronger braking intervention is applied, transferring the torque to the wheel that has a better grip on the ground and helping the vehicle get off difficult surfaces more easily. The new RAV4 also stands out with its strong traction performance. The 2,000 kilogram towing capacity offered in four-wheel drive versions makes the model assertive in every aspect.
New RAV4 GR SPORT inspired by motor sports
Toyota carries the brand's approach of "producing better cars" to the road with the GR SPORT version inspired by the racing department TOYOTA GAZOO Racing in the new RAV4 model. GR SPORT, one of the most dynamic versions of the RAV4 product range, draws attention with its wider and lower stance. While special design details reinforce the powerful appearance of the model with its character reminiscent of motorsport, aerodynamic improvements also directly contribute to performance.
Front and rear spoilers and redesigned airflow management increase driving stability at high speeds and offer optimum cooling performance at low speeds. 20-inch light alloy wheels exclusive to GR SPORT support aerodynamic efficiency. The sporty driving character of RAV4 GR SPORT is carried further with model-specific front shock absorbers, rear suspension links and steering settings.
The cabin of RAV4 GR SPORT also offers a driving-oriented atmosphere. Red details and GR logos used in the predominantly black cabin strengthen the sporty identity. Suede-like seat upholstery, aluminum pedal set and special steering wheel design further enrich the driving experience.
The newest and highest-level safety technologies stand out in the new Toyota RAV4
The new RAV4 stands out as the first model to display the 4th generation Toyota Safety Sense system under the umbrella of Toyota T-Mate, which offers Toyota's most up-to-date safety and driving support systems. These advanced safety equipment, offered as standard, make significant contributions to preventing accidents by increasing the driver's environmental awareness.
The developed Blind Spot Warning System (BSM) now includes the new "Rear Approaching Vehicle Information System" function. The system, which aims to reduce stress especially in highway driving, provides the driver with a safe response time by notifying the driver of vehicles approaching from behind at high speed with audible and visual warnings.
The "Front Cross Traffic Warning System", offered for the first time in the new RAV4, detects vehicles passing in front at intersections and heavy traffic points and warns the driver about the risk of a possible collision. Thus, environmental awareness is further increased while driving.
The more advanced “Smart Lane Change Assistant” supports safe lane change by giving a signal from the driver when the adaptive cruise control and lane tracking systems are active. The system checks whether there is a vehicle in the blind spot and helps complete the maneuver with steering support.
The Front Collision Prevention System has been updated by improving its ability to detect oncoming vehicles. The new Second Collision Brake System, which is activated in case the airbags are deployed in a possible accident, can stop the vehicle in a controlled manner in situations where the driver cannot intervene.
The developed Panoramic View Monitor now provides a three-dimensional image, allowing a clearer view of the vehicle's surroundings and making parking maneuvers easier.
