SPECIAL RESPECT BUS FROM IETT FOR İLBER ORTAYLI

Prof, one of Turkey's most important history academics and known as "the person who made young people love history". Dr. After the death of İlber Ortaylı, IETT designed and put into service a special tribute bus. Prof. was born in Austria in 1947, wrote and contributed to numerous works throughout his life, and received many prestigious national and international awards, including state medals. Dr. İlber Ortaylı passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 79. 

His memory will be on the roads of Istanbul

Doyen history teacher Prof., who has made especially young people interested in world history, especially Turkish history, with the many events he participated in, the works he supported and the programs he participated in, especially in recent years. Dr. İETT prepared a special tribute bus for İlber Ortaylı.
