“Journey to the Pyramids: Discovery of Ancient Egypt” Says Goodbye at the End of March

The last one-month countdown has begun at Galataport for those who want to go back 4,500 years and experience the mystery of the Giza Plateau and the secrets of the Sphinx. The new screening is expected to meet the audience as of April.

Turkey's first virtual reality museum, Müzeverse, has transported more than 130 thousand visitors to the depths of history to date. Museumverse, which hosts different periods such as "The Last Castle - Discovery of the Middle Ages" and "Roots of Life", combines technology with strong storytelling. The museum's most popular and iconic first experience, "Journey to the Pyramids: Discovery of Ancient Egypt", is preparing to complete its run on March 31, after months of intense interest. Beyond an ordinary exhibition, this experience, which makes the participants a part of history, has brought a 4,500-year-old secret to today with modern technology. In the final screenings, which will continue until the end of March, visitors will have the chance to witness the magnificent funeral of King Khufu and walk the Giza Plateau and the Sphinx like an ancient resident. Thanks to three-dimensional visuals and interactive narration, the secret rooms and narrow passages of the Great Pyramid, which cannot be entered in real life, are opened to discovery for the last time with Museumverse technology.

An Experience That Reaches to the Heart of the Pyramids

The "Journey to the Pyramids: Discovery of Ancient Egypt" experience offers an impressive journey that takes visitors to the heart of the Giza Plateau. During the experience, participants can explore the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid from different angles and experience the construction processes of Ancient Egyptian architecture accompanied by three-dimensional visuals. Thanks to virtual reality technology, the pyramid's secret rooms and narrow passages, which can only be accessed digitally, are also open to exploration. Thus, visitors have the opportunity to closely observe the architectural secrets of the pyramids and the engineering skills of the Ancient Egyptian civilization. One of the most striking moments of the experience is the scenes witnessed at the funeral ceremony of King Khufu, one of the important figures of Ancient Egypt. While visitors watch religious rituals performed by priests, they step into mythological narratives telling about Khufu's post-death journey. Details about the daily life of the people attending the ceremony also enrich the narrative of the experience. This ancient world, equipped with environmental sounds and visual effects that strengthen the atmosphere, will continue to host visitors at Museumverse until the end of March. As of March 31, it will be replaced by a new virtual reality experience.
