Glass Cleaning Demands Increased by 110 Percent

With the preparations for the holiday gaining momentum in the second half of Ramadan, service demands on the platform have concentrated on a wide range from travel to domestic arrangements.

According to the analysis of Turkey's largest online service platform Armut.com regarding the month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr period, users' holiday preparations range from cleaning to cleaning. It concentrated on many categories, from travel plans to travel plans. The research, which examined more than 250 thousand service requests related to the Ramadan period on the platform, revealed that house cleaning demands increased rapidly before the Eid, and holiday plans increased the tendency to pet care and mobility services. According to noreferrer">Armut.com data, the most demands during the Ramadan preparation period came for house cleaning, carpet washing and sofa washing services. These three services, which were most in demand in the cleaning category during the holiday preparation period, reflected the motivation of users to make their living spaces ready to host guests. While the average cost of carpet washing services was 2,500 TL, the average price of house cleaning and sofa washing services was 2,800 TL.

During this period, window cleaning was one of the services with the fastest increasing demand; Requests for window cleaning increased by 110 percent during the preparation period for Ramadan. While there was a 40 percent increase in sofa washing services, the increase in steam house cleaning, which is compared on an annual basis and is one of the rising cleaning trends of the last period, reached 75 percent. 

Holiday Bustle Overflowed from Houses to Gardens

The fact that the holiday coincided with the spring months brought record increases in garden maintenance services as well as house cleaning. The strongest change was seen in lawn mowing with a 230 percent increase and garden hoeing services with a 170 percent increase, due to the influence of those who wanted to host their guests outdoors during the holiday. In response to the needs of those preparing their gardens for the Eid, demands for grass carpets increased by 130 percent, while demands for ready-made roll grass increased by 85 percent.

Eid Holiday Preparations: Demands for Cat Care at Home Increased by 70 Percent

Users who wanted to spend the Eid al-Fitr holiday outside the city turned to services focused on preparation and mobility. As travel plans became clear, there was a remarkable activity on the platform, especially in pet care and transportation services.

Users who could not take their pets on a trip turned to care services during the holiday. During this period, an increase of 70 percent in home cat care services, 65 percent in cat hotel services and 42 percent in dog hotel services was recorded. According to platform data, cat hotel service was around 900 TL per day on average for 1 cat, and dog hotel service was around 1,200 TL per day.

Car maintenance was also one of the prominent categories in travel preparations. Drivers who wanted to prepare their vehicles before going on a long journey turned to vehicle cleaning and maintenance services. There was an increase of 48 percent in Auto Detailer services, 55 percent in Car Washing services and 40 percent in Tire Change services. On the other hand, motorhome rental services increased by 48 percent, and car rental services with drivers increased by 12 percent, drawing attention as an alternative option in holiday holiday plans.
